Happy 10th Birthday, #4!!!
You came into the world your own unique way- nothing like any of your siblings- and to this day you are a beautiful example of being true to yourself and using your strong will for good.
Because your real birthday falls on Ash Wednesday we split up the celebration so we could really give you a party last night but still honor you and celebrate the gift you are to our family on the real day, today.
This year we celebrate not only you turning double digits, but it's also your GOLDEN BIRTHDAY!!! The kids learned about 'this' from someone else. I'd never heard of it. But it's when you're age falls on your birth date. For example, #4 is turning 10 on the 10th. It only happens once in your lifetime, so we decided we'll 'do it up' a bit when someone reaches this time. Lots of surprises planned!
We went around the table last night at your birthday dinner and told you things we appreciate about you. Here are some of the things that were said about you: you are a loyal friend, you are 'like one of the boys' (meaning you can 'hang with them easily' and are athletic), you have a fun sense of humor, you are a hard worker, you're smart, you're pretty...these are the ones I can remember.
We love you so very much and we are so glad God gave you to our family. Daddy and I couldn't be more proud of how well you're doing in your new school. We love watching you overcome your fears and rise above challenges. It's always a blast to watch you play soccer because every minute you play with all your heart for the team. Your teammates are some of your best friends.
May God continue to show you His way as your grow into His beautiful young lady.
