'Barely' Wordless Wednesday

A few weeks ago we got ad for "Ski Lessons for Homeschoolers" sent through our homeschool groups yahoo site. I sorta 'laughed it off', but then thought 'hey, let me talk to DH. This could be a lot of fun and a really good opportunity for our kids.'
From the picks below you can see the DH was in FULL support! So, for the next 5 weeks we'll go skiing once a week. I grew up with Colorado as my second home and we went skiing once a year most of my childhood.  Taking the kids skiing is 'easy' at least in my mind.  It requires a lot of 'making lists' and 'checking them twice', but we did it! And I didn't have any help and no one got hurt and all 5 kids came home happy and tired!
1 hour lessons for #'s 2, 3, and 4 and play time in the snow for #5 and #6. I'm hoping one of these weeks DH will get to come and he and I will then be able to alternate taking the skiers up and down the slope a couple times.  This place is a great beginner area. I'm even hoping we can do a family weekend here. There are some small condo's right near the base and I can just imagine how great the ski/family time would be at this spot. Enjoy some of the pics I took today.

The gang! The snow is man made, but you can't tell at all. I'd sure like to see how the whole process of making the snow and moving it here and there works.

The skiers. L to R 7 (almost 8) year old, 9 1/2 year old, 10 (almost 11) year old.  My son looks shorter than 'usual' right here because of the slant in the hill, but he is neck and neck with his sister. They're only 14 months apart and have always been asked if they're twins.

The babies! They had soooo much fun! Glad I didn't get lessons for them! They had a blast just trying to 'slide' down this bumpy hill.
