|Missing the 'dog days' of summer a bit!?|
I've spent some time over the last couple of days thinking about this blog. What is the point? Reminding myself why I began blogging 3 years ago. Asking 'should I keep on blogging or is it taking time from something it shouldn't be?' Am I blogging for the right reasons?
Not to OVER analyze something that should really just be simple, but I just want to be sure that this blog is done for the right reasons…to glorify Our Lord and give thanks to him for His many blessings on us and to share our days' highs and lows with friends and family.
So, to make the point clear I've decided to do a post on WHY I'm blogging and the purpose of this little 'place' in the World Wide Web.
This blog was first designed for the purpose of sharing more with my family members in Texas. It's our effort to open the window of our daily life so that they can keep up with the kids growing up and our life here in VA. I also hope that my blog might help other women who might be searching for answers on some of life's 'little' issues. I like to share tips, bits of wisdom I've learned from reading other blogs and books, and little lessons I've learned along the way. The things I share a basic: recipes for muffins and even homemade laundry detergent, books that have taught me something, transitioning from homeschooling to Catholic school, etc.
My blog is NOT a place where I will share my deepest thoughts or experiences. I've always felt that the WWW isn't the place for me to do that. I will share deeply and intimately with my closest friends, but we all know that nothing is necessarily 'safe' on the internet, which is why I've chosen to strive to maintain some privacy.
I hope this blog is a fun place to come and visit and that through my experiences and my own learning along the way I am able to shine His light in someone else's life and maybe make something a little simpler for someone else.
