7 Quick Takes Friday (vol. 3)

--- 1 ---
We're soooo glad he's home! A week is a long time away when you aren't use to that 'away'. The hardest part was feeling like we 'lost' a weekend. Not only because he was away, but because 2 of the kids were sick. : (

It's Friday!!!

I'm thinking about the fact that I need to plan 3 events. First my #4 turns 7 on 2/10! Need to figure out what we're doing for her. Then I'm coordinating a Vday party for the AHG Tenderhearts.  Need to figure out the rest of those details. I've planned about 50% of that. And last, but NOT least, my #2 has a milestone birthday this year on 3/2 which means a PARTY or whatever he wants to do. We decided a couple years back that we would make milestone birthdays a 'bigger deal', but that all depends on what the child wants to do to celebrate. Not sure what #2 has up his sleeve, but he's a dreamer and he's a social kid, so I know we'll be doing something!

I'm not real 'into' the Super Bowl this year. I'm thinking it's because I don't care an ounce about either of the teams playing. I don't even think I know anyone personally who does care about who wins the game. But maybe we'll end up having a party. We've sorta got a plan under wraps, but we're waiting for responses!

This morning there is a beautiful dusting of snow on the ground. Why is it that snow seems to make the world more quiet? More peaceful? I love that!

Not a lot on our calendar today, but a great start receiving Our Lord more in 2 Sacraments! Thank you, Jesus for this privilege! May we live like it is indeed a blessing!

This weekend will be a 'scouting' weekend. Several events taking place. I'm reminded of the gift that the BSA has been to both my husband and my oldest son. And I'm thankful for the 'relationship' the organization has with the American Heritage Girls. I pray that the BSA chooses to be strong and uphold the values they have stood by for sooo long.
