Today we're going to grandma's house to celebrate a couple of family birthday's, so I thought this post would be appropriate.

How we celebrate birthdays with extended family...

Our extended family 11+ strong.  To some that might not be big but it's enough to present a challenge when it comes to celebrating bdays.  When we first moved to VA my oldest had recently turned 2 years old.  Maybe a couple of years after that we realized we were getting together very often to celebrate family birthdays. As all of the families got busier and busier we thought of a way to celebrate everyone's life, but do it in a little bit more simple way.  So, what we do is combine birthday celebrations together.  We get together about 1 time every other month for a party.  For instance today, we are celebrating Jan/Feb bdays.  That's my SIL (1/23) and my #4 (2/10).

This works for us! Not that we don't want to see each other more often it's just we found it really hard to commit to a date for a party when we have a big group with all different calendars and such.

So, if you don't have a plan yet? Try ours. It really does work out well!

Happy Sunday, everyone! Thanks for stopping by!
