Game Time post 1

I married into a family that LOVES playing games together. When I was a kid most of our family time/quality time spent together was either on some sort of vacation either with friends or just as an immediate family OR around the table eating FABULOUS food. Loved that!

That's not to say we didn't play games together ever, but it wasn't our 'go to' during family gatherings.

My 'new family' (ok, not so new since we've been married 12 1/2 years now) owns a plethora of great games. Playing games has grown on me especially now that I have kids of my own and since we live near my DH's side of the family.

So, I'm going to start some posts on some of our favorite games. I could do it all at once, but I thought it'd be more fun to do one at a time...keep you readers in suspense!

Game #1- Our newest game was introduced to us by my in-laws. They were introduced to it while on a summer vacation recently.

It's called...Mexican Train Game.

It says ages 8+ on the side of the box, but my 6 year old plays with us too. She gets it. One of the great things about this game is that it's simple, yet fun and all of us can play. I think something like 8 people can play at the same time AND when the little guys want to join us they just pair up with someone and make a team.

We'll be getting some of our best games out over the next several days since we're waiting for 'Frankenstorm 2012' to arrive!

Stay tuned for more fun game ideas!
