For those of us LIVING in the Domestic Church

Today we celebrate the Feast of St. Lucy! I won't go into her story, but it's fascinating. You should look it up online. We haven't done anything on this feast day in the past, but this year I decided to add it to our Advent celebrations. Being in the boot has 'caused' me to spend more time on crafts and baking. Crazy, I know!  There's no 'Domestic Church rule' that says we can't add or take away celebrations, traditions, etc. when we deem it necessary for the family, right? So, we keep some traditions the same each year, but there are others we try and like, others we try and don't like- that's OK!!! So, we celebrated St. Lucy this year! It was a nice addition to our Advent preparations.
I chose my middle daughter, the one who, well, she's just the one who NEEDED to have the privilege of being the first St. Lucy rep. in our family. See the picture below. She did a great job and was all smiles. The bread recipe was super easy. I made it myself last night. I got the recipe from a good friend of mine. If you're interested leave a comment below. I'd be happy to send you the recipe via email...leave your email address.

Happy Feast of St. Lucy!!!
